Wow, after a long wait the common tests are finally over and done with. Today as I was going back home from school, recalling all my foolish mistakes in the bus, I made during my common tests. A voice from the back of the bus struck me like a two headed knife through my heart. A female voice with a high-octave squawk away to her beloved boyfriend telling him not to ogle at girls. I guess her boyfriend looks at girls because she is not that “Chio” I infer. In a monologue, my mind keeps asking who the hell the girl thinks she is? His wife or something – telling her boyfriend to do this and not to do this. I constantly hold on to the fact that good girlfriend always forgive their boyfriend if they did something wrong.

Well, that’s sentence about girls definitely bring back to the good old days in secondary schools. Like an average male, I can’t help but admire the female form. And sometimes I did go too far beyond the boundaries I suppose…hehehe. Like when I was in secondary school, I knew a girl who was truly blessed in the upper body department. Conversations with her were not easy. I did try to focus on her face but end up looking else where instead. Honestly, I didn’t do it on purpose. My eyes were on “auto pilot”. Half-way through talking to her, I’d jerk my head up to look her in the face. I think she couldn’t prove my unappreciated stares conclusively and that saved me from a torrent of kicks to my groin or slaps to my face.

Why in the world do we guys look at girls? Personally I believe that there are heaps of reasons but the one I like best is definitely our caveman instincts. Studying the female form is hard-wired and embedded into your genetic code. We see a pretty girl with a great figure and the caveman inside sees a healthy mate within. We are constantly scanning for signs of hotness in the guise of the female form. Even for those of us who are attachment, our radars are still functioning like a communication system. If you think I’m making all the guys sound like a bunch of perverts, think again about this- girls do it too!

YES! Even the “fairer sex” is guilty of this crime. The ladies check out the guys, just like we check out the ladies. I guess god is fair this it is a fair trade in motion. Perhaps Homo sapiens are inherently greedy creatures. We are always on the look for something better or nicer even when we’re attached. My friend did gives me this analog about ogling at girls, he told me that it is likens appreciating the opposite sex to window shopping – you get to admire the goods without even paying for them.

But sometimes guys can take things a little too far. Even I, as a guy don’t see the need for wolf whistles to demonstrate my appreciation of a female passer-by. Looking is fine, as long as there isn’t any slobbering or funny noise of any kind. If you want to appreciate a great looking gal, do it with dignity. Don’t embarrass anyone by acting like a clown n sia suay us guys. Nothing looks sorrier than a dude gawking at a girl with his eyes wide open and his tongue hanging out. Besides, it’s rude to stare at anyone, not just women. And in this day and age, there is also a very real thing as sexual harassment.

Oh, another thing. Don’t forget when you’re busy checking out the “scenery”, make sure you’ve still got your eyes on where you are going. Don’t be too busy gawking and walk straight into a lamp post or worst a person…hahaha!

In Conclusion: You stare, I stare...
